The second match of Juventus, that against Milan, saw the bianconeri with the possibility of winning the trophy if they manage to beat the rossoneri at least on penalties (Both Inter and Juve would have 4 points with the bianconeri favoured by the direct encounter).

Four minutes later there is a great pass by De Ceglie to Iaquinta and a great shot by the striker making the score 2-0. Right after the goal Amauri received the applause of the public as he came off for Immobile, another golden youngster.
It was only on the 37th minute that Manninger was forced to a save putting the ball into corner. From the flag the defence was forced to clear after a series of attempts by the rossoneri in the area. Four minutes later the referee awarded a freekick to Milan for a foul on Inzaghi at the edge of the area. The ball was shot wide.
On the 42nd minute Ciro Ferrara gave an opportunity to Giuseppe Giovinco who came on for Iaquinta who yet again gave an excellent performance. On the second of the two minutes of stoppage time Giovinco saw Roma denying him the pleasure of scoring the third goal.
