12 Players Away With Their National Teams


After the weekend matches, Serie A has newly left space to National Teams. It’s about the last stop in 2009, before the long rush that will take to Christmas Holidays.

Play-offs to establish South Africa World Championship last qualifications are scheduled, qualifications matches for Under 21 Championship in 2011 and a series of friendly matches that will see main characters of next World Championship.

As usual, many are the bianconeri called to these challenges. With some boys at pit-stop and therefore stayed at home (Marchisio, Iaquinta, Sissoko, Kirev), the troop will be composed by 12 players: Buffon, Cannavaro, Chiellini, Grosso, Legrottaglie and Camoranesi for Italy, Ariaudo and Marrone with Under 21, Felipe Melo with Brazil, Tiago with Portugal, Poulsen with Denmark and Caceres con Uruguay.

Fundamental matches are scheduled most of all for Tiago and Caceres. Portugal and Uruguay are playing against Bosnia-Erzegovina and Costarica the last chance to land in South Africa. Double official challenge also for the azzurrini, friendly test for the others, among who stand out the two Italy’s challenge vs. Netherland and Sweden, but also Brazil-England
