After getting past the latest engagement, i.e. the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy, the team will now continue their march towards the next games on their schedule.
The most important ones will come in the last week of August, with the return qualifier in Bratislava (on the 26th) and the first day of the League in Florence (Sunday the 31st, at night). Before those, though, the schedule offers the Birra Moretti Trophy (on Thursday 21st) and the Villar Perosa exhibition match (on Saturday the 23rd).
Claudio Ranieri gave the whole Monday off to all the players after the match against the Rossoneri. Training will resume on Tuesday, in late afternoon. But the squad will be a lot smaller because of international commitments.
As many as 10 Juve players have been called up by their National teams. Marcello Lippi called up five for Italy – Buffon, Del Piero, Camoranesi, Iaquinta and Legrottaglie, who has taken the injured Chiellini's place -; the others are Grygera (called up by the Czech Republic), Mellberg (Sweden), Poulsen (Denmark), Manninger (Austria) and Knezevic (Croatia).
Regarding Camoranesi and Iaquinta, who both missed Sunday night's game due to injury, their condition will be evaluated by the Azzurri's medical staff, who'll decide whether the two will be staying with the Italian squad or not.
10 leave but three return to base: De Ceglie, Giovinco and Marchisio. Having exited early from the Beijing Olympic Games with the Italian team, the lads will be at Claudio Ranieri's disposal at last on Tuesday.
