Four Teams Could Face Juventus In Italian Cup
In anticipation of the different Leagues kicking off, the first TIM Italian Cup games are currently underway. Two rounds of the national trophy have already been played and soon it'll be time for the top Serie A teams to enter the competition.
Juventus are looking on and, as one of the seeded teams, will only get into the action in November in the fifth round. Meanwhile the Bianconeri will follow the games from which the name of their opponents will come out. They will be facing one of the following teams: Catania, Parma, Chievo or Padova.
Already next weekend two of these will be knocked out, as the third round games are scheduled to take place. Catania and Parma will face in one game (the team from the Emilia region have just gone through the second round by winning in extra time against Portogruaro). The other match is going to be a Veneto derby between Chievo and Padova. The latter, Del Piero's former team, are one of the surprises of the season so far as they've already taken care of two teams: Pontedera and a stronger side such as Piacenza.
The winners of these two games (the round is played over a single match) will face in the 4th round over two matches; the games are scheduled to be played on September 18th and October the 2nd.
