Almiron Officially Joins Fiorentina On Loan

Claudio Ranieri's squad is getting leaner. As from today, Sergio Almiron isn't part of the first team squad any more; his contract has been officially conveyed to the Football League.

The Argentinean midfielder has gone to Fiorentina on loan, with Juventus keeping the option to buy back half of the ownership rights. The player has already reached his new team and was introduced to the press yesterday.

Almiron was purchased from Empoli last summer and played half of the 2007/08 season at Juventus (with 11 appearances and one goal) before joining French team AS Monaco on loan. Back in Turin, he recently spent the whole Pinzolo training camp with the squad and also took part in the friendly against Mezzocorona.
