An Eye On Manchester, One On Bratislava
It'll be an important European Wednesday for Juventus. A double European Wednesday, in fact, as the attention will be focused on Manchester but also on Bratislava.
Indeed at the same time as the Bianconeri play reigning European and English Champions Manchester United at Old Trafford tonight, in Slovakia at last we'll get to know whether it’s going to be Artmedia or Tampere challenging Ranieri's men in the third Champions League qualifying round.
It will all kick off in Bratislava first. At 8.15 pm, at the Petrzalka Stadion, hosts Artmedia will try and finish off what they started when they won 3-1 in Finland against Tampere United. Whoever qualifies, in precisely seven days' time (on August 13th) will be at the Olimpico in Turin to play the first of two matches against Juventus.
At 9 pm Italian time, just as the teams in Slovakia will be making their return on the pitch after the half-time break, the friendly at Old Trafford between Juventus and Manchester United will kick off. The game is to be shown live on the Rai Uno TV channel.
This will be the last game for the Bianconeri on their English tour, after the main event last weekend with the two matches against Arsenal and Hamburg at the Emirates Cup. Indeed after tonight’s game the entire squad will come back to Turin and will resume training as normal on Friday afternoon in Vinovo after getting the whole day off tomorrow.
