Juve Resume Training In Vinovo With Sant’Albano Present
As scheduled, this afternoon the team resumed training in Vinovo after a day and a half of rest. Without the 11 internationals and Chiellini, injured, but with all three players back from the Olympic Games: De Ceglie, Marchisio and Giovinco.
Training resumed in front of a special guest. Indeed IFIL Managing Director and Juventus Board Member Carlo Sant’Albano, who watched the session with Director of Sport Alessio Secco.
Other Youth Team lads joined in the training, apart from those who have been with the squad since the Pinzolo summer camp, and all together they started preparing next Thursday night's engagement: the Birra Moretti Trophy, to be played with Napoli and AC Milan. The traditional summer tournament will be introduced by Claudio Ranieri in a press conference on the eve of the event, on Wednesday, at noon.
Meanwhile there's news regarding injured players, the first of which comes directly from Coverciano. Dr. Agricola was informed by Italy's team doctor Castellacci and Marcello Lippi himself that Mauro German Camoranesi will not be employed in Wednesday's international friendly against Austria as a precaution. Iaquinta however got the all clear as he has recovered perfectly and is available to play if Italy’s Manager chooses to use him.
The other news regards Jonathan Zebina. In the last few days the French defender has been suffering a pain to his Achilles tendon, so it was decided to rest him for a few days and make him undergo the correct therapy. After the Champions League qualifier return game next Tuesday his condition will be evaluated to establish if he can resume training at that point.
