Iaquinta: "It Will Be A Great Juve"
We are in July but the award “bianconero of 2009” already has a favourite. Thanks to a long period spent as protagonist, a period which began in march and lasted up to the end of May – made of important performances and goals -, Vincenzo Iaquinta is a candidate who hopes to pursue the positive streak.
After having overcome some physical problems which stopped him in the most important moments, the attacker from Calabria did not stop anymore and does not want to do so even now.
"My objective is to begin the new season like I ended the last. I hope to be well and able to contribute. A long season awaits us and everybody will come in handy. Competition? That does not worry me. In Summer my name is never in the typical line-up but it better that way because I am used to fighting for space".
The forward line is the only part that did not change during the last transfer market and therefore Iaquinta will find his usual mates: same names but different work on the field.
"With Diego’s arrival we will have more fantasy and be more entertaining but for us attackers the work is more because we have to help out even when it comes to covering. Ferrara explained this to us immediately and we are ready to do so".
Iaquinta is an excellent personification of the current Juve spirit: a team which is hungry to get back to winning and for this reason ready to make any sacrifices. The basis is good and this is an excellent starting point.
"It will be a great Juve. New champions like Cannavaro, Melo and Diego have joined and for this reason I saw great enthusiasm from the people. We have all we need to compete in all the competitions but we must not compare ourselves to Inter. We must only think of ourselves. The championship is not won by winning one match but by beating the smaller teams".
"To win, we need everybody even our supporters. For this reason I hope that the protests against Cannavaro are ended soon because all this does not help our work".
