Vinovo saw the return of all the other internationals who had a separate training session divided by work in the gym and on the field, while the other players played a mini-match in two halves of 30 minutes each against the Primavera which was strengthened by the presence of Buffon and De Ceglie.
Ferrara first fielded Manninger, Zebina, Grygera, Ariaudo, Molinaro, Marchisio, Sissoko, Amauri, Giovinco, Del Piero, Trezeguet while in the second half De Ceglie replaced Ariaudo and Chimenti played for the first team with Manninger joining the Primavera. The match ended 5-0 with two goals each by Del Piero and Trezeguet and a goal by Amauri.
Following the mini-match from the sidelines was sports director Alessio Secco who was later joined by Hasan Salihamidzic who having returned from Munich worked separately. Salihamidzic has just returned from therapy to cure the tendon problems he was suffering from.
