Viareggio: Primavera Nearly Through To Final 16
After two match days Juventus is practically through to the final 16 of the 62nd edition of the Viareggio Cup. The Primavera confirmed they deserved the title of current champions and are nearly through to the next round.
After the 3-0 victory in the inauguration match against Legia Warsaw, today they struck an even rounder result with a 4-0 victory against Vicenza in Pontedera. This time it was Belcastro’s turn to win the man of the match with two goals. Immobile continued with his scoring streak and his third goal in two matches while Fischnaller celebrated his first goal since he joined Juventus.
With 6 points and a more then excellent goal average (7 goals scored and none conceded), a decisive fact in case of equal points, the bianconeri will play the third and last match of Group A with more serenity.
On Friday at 17:00hrs, in Pistoia they will play against Livorno against whom a point will be enough. It will be a chance for Mr. Bruni to rest the protagonists of the first two matches and try out a number of players who are urging to show their worth in such a prestigious showcase.
