Del Neri fielded a typical 4-4-2 formation with Iaquinta and Del Piero as attacking duo, and Sissoko and Melo in central midfield.
The bianconeri have a fiery start and immediately begin piling the pressure on the Polish champions. On the 2nd minute, Iaquinta is caught off-side as he enters the area and one minute later there is a great move by Krasic who enters the area but is anticipated by the keeper.
It is the 6th minute when there is a corner for Lech: ball cleared by the defence. Two minutes later there is a free-kick for Juve: ball into the area saved by the keeper.
On the 10th minute there is a free-kick for Juve: Del Piero's ball is cleared by the defence. Seconds later, there is another free-kick for Juve: Del Piero puts it in, a defender anticpates Iaquinta and the ball goes just wide into corner. From the flag the defence manages to clear.
The 12th minute sees a beautiful first-timer by Del Piero saved into corner by the keeper. The captain puts the ball into the area but Iaquinta does not manage to hit it well.
Juve are putting the Lech area under siege but a counter-attack on the 13th minute ends in a penalty for the guests after a foul in the area by Melo. From the eleven metres Rudnevs posts home:0-1.
It takes some time for Juve to recover from the shock but on the 22nd minute Krasic puts in a good cross but at the end Lanzafame is uncoordinated shoots wide. One minute later, a good Iaquinta shot is saved by the keeper.
One minute later there is a long-distance free-kick for Juve but Del Piero does not hit the ball well and it goes wide. Three minutes later, there is a Free-kick for Juve from a favourable position for Del Piero: the captain hits the wall. Seconds pass when Del Piero puts a ball into the area, Krasic brings it down and tries to put it towards Iaquinta but the ball is cleared.
The half-hour mark sees the Juve defence surprised again, Manninger manages to save once but the ball reaches Rudnevs who posts home for the 0-2.
The bianconeri try to react and on the 32nd minute there is a ball into the area towards Del Piero but the captain is stopped for a foul in attack. One minute later, Del Piero puts a good ball into the area but Krasic does not manage to get to it.
On the 35th minute, first Lanzafame and then Iaquinta do not manage to strike well as the first brought in a good ball into the area. Three minutes later, there is a corner for Lech: ball dangerously into the Juve area, waved away by Manninger.
It is the 43rd minute when there is a ball into the Lech area, first Iaquinta's shot is blocked and then an attempt by Sissoko is put into corner. From the flag the ball is put into the area but the defence manages to clear in some manner. Two minutes later, Krasic puts a good ball into the area but nobody manages to deviate.
Motta comes on for an injured De Ceglie and on the 47th minute, there is a free-kick from nearly midfield for Juve: Del Piero puts the ball into the area and Chiellini heads home for the 1-2. The first half ends on this score.
Juve come on to the field for the second half determined to turn the score round and on the 4th minute, corner for Juve: Del Piero puts the ball into the area and Chiellini equalizes with a low ball: 2-2.
Four minutes later there is a free-kick for Juve: Del Piero puts the ball into the area, Sissoko tries an uncomfortable header but the ball goes high over the bar. Good work by Krasic and Sissoko with the latter stopped as he is about to enter the area on the 9th minute. Pepe comes on for Lanzafame one minute later.
On the 12th minute Krasic puts in a great ball into the Lech area but there is nobody to push it in and the defence clears. Two minutes later, Krasic tries to enter the area but is stopped by a defender.
The 15th minute sees a corner for Lech: the ball is too long and ends in a goal kick. One minute later, Krasic with a great move manages to go past a defender and tries a shot which is saved by the keeper.
It is the 17th minute when, there is a free-kick for Juve: Del Piero puts the ball into the area, Chiellini tries again but the keeper holds the ball. Juve have another free-kick 3 minutes later: Del Piero's attempt forces the keeper to a good save.
On the 21st minute there is a corner for Juve: ball into the area and Iaquinta's header goes inches wide. Two minutes later the Olimpico is on its feet in applause: Del Piero takes a shot from about 30 metres surprising the keeper and scoring a great goal : 3-2.
The 25th minute sees Krasic collecting a great ball and putting towards Iaquinta in the area who is fouled and denied a penalty by the referee. One minute later, there is a free-kick for Juve: ball into the area headed away by the defence.
Juve are dominating and on the 27th minute Del Piero passes to Krasic who puts a low ball into the area which is cleared by the defence. Corner for Juve: ball is too long but it reaches Krasic who manages to keep it on the field but not to cross.
Iaquinta does not manage to control a ball in the area on the 31st minute and 2 minutes later he is replaced by Marchisio. On the 34th minute there is a free-kick for Juve: Del Piero's attempt goes wide. Four minutes later, a Rudnevs flying header goes wide.
It is the 39th minute when a powerful Krasic shot is blocked by the defence. One minute later, there is a free-kick for Juve: Del Piero puts the ball in but it is too long for Melo. Pepe tries a shot but the keeper saves on the 44th minute.
The referee allots 3 minutes of stoppage time. On the 46th minute there is a dangerous ball into the Juve area cleared by Legrottaglie. One minute later Motta receives a ball from del Piero but his shot very good is saved by the keeper.
The twist in the tale comes on the 47th minute of the second half as a powerful and precise shot by Rudnevs from outside the area makes the score 3-3,. There is no time for any more action and Juve are denied a well-deserved victory in the final seconds of the match.
