Legrottaglie: "Great Character Punished By An Incredible Goal"
"We had an impressive strength of character. In the second half they never came close to our penalty area and then on the 93rd minute the law of football punished us. Let us take the positive aspect. Our reaction shows that when we believe in it we are a team that can do really well".
Nicola Legrottaglie, even though he did not try to hide his disappointment for the draw against Lech Poznanm saw the glass half full and analyzing the match and the goals conceded, underlined the progress made by the team:
"Today, based on what we tried out during training, the defence did quite well. Let us think of the goals conceded: with regards to the first, we took a corner and suffered the counter-attack from which the penalty came; the third was an incredible goal… the only one on which there was a mistake perhaps was the second where a forced anticipation unbalanced the defence".
"I don’t think, however, they had so many good chances. In Italy we always look at the goals conceded, instead of praising a team from coming back from 0-2 to 3-2. We should also look at the goals scored and try to analyze the matches well. With regards to the defence better times will come and we will suffer less goals".
