After 18 years of Inter-Juventus during which a bit of everything was seen, on and off the field, for once Alessandro Del Piero was able to live a Derby D’Italia without controversy and tension.
At the end of the match, many compliments were made to referee Banti and the correctness of the players. Even the captain had something to say:
"Kicks were not spared but everything was within limits. We were all intelligent enough not to behave otherwise and this is very positive. If we are friends of Inter? Friends isn’t the right word. If we manage to play like this, with ardour and without being nervous it is good for everyone. Even our team showed it is a solid one. We conceded very little and we have made steps forward".
